Our self-drive Kruger Park tours are designed so you can experience an African safari in a fun, affordable and adventurous way. Based on years of experience, we have put together two popular self-drive safari packages to help you explore the world-famous Kruger National Park. Our customizable 7 day Kruger Park tour package takes the guess work out of planning and saves you time.
We've teamed up with a local car rental agency that focuses on great service and coupled that with accommodations at a spacious chalet at the Kruger Park Lodge and some of our favourite camps inside Kruger Park.
While we can tailor your self-drive Kruger package according to your needs we recommend the following:
Day 1: Pick up car in Johannesburg or get car delivered to your hotel.
Drive to Hazyview (4.5 hours) & check in at Swagat Lodge.
Half day Kruger safari from Phabeni Gate.
Day 2: Full day Kruger safari
Your first two nights are spent at Swagat at Kruger Park Lodge in the town of Hazyview, just ten minutes from Kruger's Phabeni Gate. Enjoy easy access to Kruger while appreciating the local restaurants at night.
Swagat at Kruger Park Lodge is a spacious six-sleeper unit with three bathrooms, air-conditioning in all bedrooms, and a full kitchen. The development has three swimming pools, tennis courts, hippo hide and a golf course.

Day 3: Explore Blyde River Canyon and Panorama Route.
Enter Kruger Park through Orpen Gate & drive to Satara Camp.
Day 4: Full day Kruger safari around Satara camp with optional bush walks.
Possible night drive safari.
The next two nights are spent at Satara Camp inside the Kruger Park. Satara is a wonderful camp in south-central Kruger and is a favourite among self-drive safari enthusiasts. A shop that sells basics and a restaurant are on site. Satara has a petrol station.

Day 5: Depart Satara camp and enjoy a leisurely safari to Lower Sabie Camp (87 kilometers).
Day 6: Full day Kruger safari around Lower Sabie camp with optional bush walks.
Possible night drive safari.
For days 5 and 6, you are staying at Lower Sabie or Skukuza Camp inside the Kruger Park. Both these camps are highly sought after due to the density of game in this region. Basic groceries, curios and petrol can be purchased here. Both camps have a coffee shop and a restaurant.

Day 7: Depart camp for drive back to Johannesburg and return car.
